Argos: There's More To Argos

Insight
There's More To Argos
For too long, the widespread perception that Argos was "just for toys" overshadowed its vast range of desirable, must-have products. To elevate Argos from a default, functional retailer to a desirable shopping destination, we needed to directly challenge consumer misconceptions and spark a nationwide reappraisal of its quality, style, and premium brand offering.
In 2023, we launched "There’s More to Argos" a brand platform designed to tackle misconceptions head-on. We created two iconic brand mascots: Connie the doll and Trevor the dinosaur.
By taking characters from Argos's most famous category (toys) and using them to showcase everything else, we created an unmissable, humorous contrast that proved there is far more to Argos than meets the eye.
Connie & Trevor: The Intervention
Implementation
Interventions
Through comedic "interventions", Connie and Trevor showed up to tackle people's misconceptions about the retailer in disruptive, myth-busting campaigns. The activations rolled out across TV, OOH, digital, social, sponsorships, and reactive content, leaving the nation with no doubt that Argos is the definitive destination for quality, premium brands, and contemporary style.

In the summer of 2026 the campaign extended tapping into cultural events across the country.
For the launch of Toy Story 5, we launched across high-impact OOH sites outside key cinemas nationwide. The creative featured Argos’ beloved brand character Trevor going head-to-head with Toy Story’s Rex.
For the World Cup we rebranded the Argos delivery van's with 'It's coming home' in the Argos brand identity and ran reactive OOH featuring cheeky football related puns selling Argos products.
