Art Director
The Role
We are looking for an Art Director who can contribute to and execute visual storytelling effectively across social media platforms, as well as broader digital channels and video content. You'll be adept at crafting engaging visuals for everything from Instagram carousels, dynamic TikTok trends, and impactful YouTube Shorts, to digital display ads, website content, and other integrated marketing campaigns. You’ll be able to cut through and engage with the target audience through innovative visual concepts and design execution, leveraging AI-powered tools for visual exploration, rapid prototyping, and sophisticated image/video generation. You’ll expertly adapt your aesthetic and approach for the diverse and rapidly evolving requirements of various digital mediums, whether it’s a dynamic social asset, a compelling video spot, a website graphic, or a comprehensive digital campaign, all within the demands of a high-volume creative production studio.
You’ll be able to take a brief and generate strong visual ideas, proficiently utilizing AI platforms for mood boarding, style exploration, and concept visualization. Your focus will always be on driving engagement, reach, views, and brand impact across all digital touchpoints. You’ll skillfully take feedback and AI-driven data analysis to inform and refine your design decisions, applying and developing your visual strategy and prompt engineering techniques to stay on top of trends in the social and broader digital creative space, and contributing to optimizing the visual production pipeline for efficiency and innovation.
Role Details:
This position begins as a temporary engagement with the strong potential for a successful transition into a permanent role.
The annual salary range for this position is $85,000-$95,000.
We’re looking for:
Exceptional design and visual communication skills, to start!
Ability to interpret a brief and translate it into compelling visual concepts and contribute to creative direction, including a proven proficiency in AI-assisted visual ideation, style transfer, and content generation, for social media, digital channels, and video formats.
Always up to date on social media design trends, AI-driven visual aesthetics, broader digital design principles, platform-specific best practices, and evolving visual communication strategies across digital platforms, including the ethical and effective application of generative AI in visual production.
Highly engaged in new and upcoming social platforms, visual trends, video production techniques, and cutting-edge creative tools, including advanced generative AI platforms and prompt engineering for visual output.
Ability to take feedback from clients and stakeholders and refine or redevelop visual concepts and designs, facilitating agile iterations through AI tools where appropriate.
Strong communication skills – written and verbal, especially in presenting creative work, rationale, and technical specifications for AI-generated assets.
Quick to immerse and familiarise yourself with a brand, their aims, and their target audience.
Meticulous attention to detail in design execution and visual consistency across various digital channels and formats, ensuring high-quality output throughout the entire production pipeline, from pre-visualization to final asset delivery.
A collaborative team player, capable of contributing positively to team dynamics and collaborating effectively within cross-functional production teams (including copywriters, videographers, motion designers, and editors) within a fast-paced creative studio environment.
Proactivity and ability to work with growing autonomy, managing aspects of the creative production lifecycle from concept development through to final asset delivery and distribution.
A keen interest in developing trends and innovations in social media advertising, art direction for digital content, video production, the strategic integration of AI into creative workflows, and emerging design technology for all platforms, within a dynamic production studio context.

The pay range for this role is $85,000-$95,000 . Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local cost of labor. Salary is subject to change based on factors such as geographic location and cost of living in location of hire.
